It seems like after a lot of speculation, Disney+’s widely popular Marvel TV show, Loki, will receive a second season after all, after multiple actors from the series confirmed their return.

In the past few days, both Owen Wilson and Gugu Mbatha-Raw have confirmed that they will return to play their characters in TVA members Mobius and Ravonna Renslayer, respectively.

While it’s unclear what the plot might be for Season 2, the first season did end on a wild cliffhanger after Sylvie killed He Who Remains when she found out that he had been pulling the strings like a puppet master.

This caused the multiverse to open up, which has now been explored in Marvel movies like Spider-Man: No Way Home, and it will be further expanded on future projects like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

However, in the world of Loki, the show took an unexpected turn as Tom Hiddleston’s Loki found himself back at the TVA in the end, where he realizes that characters like Mobius doesn’t know him.

Moreover, the TVA also had some major changes as the statues of the Time-Keepers were replaced by Jonathan Majors.

It’s unclear whether the statue is of He Who Remains or a variant of Majors’ character which includes Kang the Conqueror who will soon appear as the antagonist in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

However, other than that, it also seems like the second season of Loki will have more emphasis on exploring more dark and deeper aspects of the MCU, according to Ravonna Renslayer actress, Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

During her recent interview with PopCulture.com, the actress confirmed that Season 2 will return and it definitely have some shock factor.

This should definitely be a cause for Marvel fans who loved the first season of Loki, and they can’t wait for the storyline to unfold with the return of Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino and many more.
