After announcing their thinnest gaming laptop Alienware M17 notebook at CES 2019, Dell has announced their new laptops from Latitude, XPS and Inspiron Series. The new products in this series include XPS 13 (2019) which is an enhanced model of previous XPS 13, Latitude 7400 2-in-1 convertible and Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 convertible laptops which are going to be available at the end of first quarter of 2019.
Let’s look over to the specifications of these upcoming laptops by Dell one by one.
Dell XPS 13 (2019)
Now after the original release of Dell XPS 13 in 2015, Dell has finally introduced its 2019 Dell XPS 13(9380) after repositioning the webcam to the top of the screen from where it actually belongs. Previously, the webcam was placed beneath the screen due to its slim bezels and also to deliver an unflattering view of your face which looks great, but the problem was that the view of your nose looks very bad. After huge complaints gained by users regarding this issue on forums, Dell has finally repositioned the webcam to its original location.
Due to this step, the top bezel has been made a bit thicker. Also, XPS 13 will no longer support Windows Hello to unlock the screen through webcam, but there’s an alternative fingerprint sensor which can be used in place of Windows Hello feature. Apart from this change in design, XPS 13 has got 8th Generation Intel Whiskey Lake processors in all the variates either in Core i3, Core i5, or Core i7. Dell is still waiting for Intel Next-Generation Processors which has been now finally announced at CES 2019.
Unlike the old XPS 13 which had a white interior and rose gold exterior, the new 2019 version of XPS 13 comes in all frosty-while appearance which looks spectacular. The new Dell XPS 13 will cost you around $900 and is available now.
Dell Latitude 7400 2-in-1 Convertible
Dell Latitude 7400 2-in-1 is one of the first PC in the World to use Proximity Sensor which is enabled by Intel Sensing Technology. This is a 2-in-1 convertible laptop which can be used as Tablet also. The new Latitude 7400 comes with a 14-inch Full HD display. One of the best features of this upcoming laptop is its Express sign-in with Proximity Sensing. It automatically detects the user’s presence and activates Windows Hello for facial recognition to log you in. In the same way, whenever you walk away it locks your screen after 5 seconds to keep your data secured.
Latitude 7400 is powered Intel 8th Gen Core i5 Whiskey Lake processor with up to 16GB of RAM. Additionally, it has 128GB PCIe/NVMe SSD up to 2TB. The company also promises to deliver the longest battery backup up to 24 hours on a single charge which comes with Dell’s ExpressCharge technology which quickly charges up the battery to up to 80 percent in just an hour.
Dell Latitude 7400 will available from March and will cost you around $1,599.
Dell Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 Convertible
Dell Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 Convertible will be available in two display variants, 13-inch and 15-inch. It has one its kind garage where you can store your Active Pen Stylus. It runs on an Intelligent System which automatically adjusts power profile according to the tasks running on the PC. Also, this notebook uses Adaptive Thermal Technology which automatically updates the heat profile of the PC according to the running environment.
It comes with a metallic body made up of Aluminium and has an ergonomic design with a diamond-cut finish. In addition, there is also a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button which can be used to unlock the PC.
The New Dell Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 Convertible laptop will be available from May 2019. For its price is concerned, there isn’t any information regarding the price of this laptop. Soon, in the upcoming few weeks, it will be cleared from the Dell itself.
