Dell has come guns blazing at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023, as the popular manufacturer announced a refresh of its entire gaming laptop lineup along with a new 500Hz gaming monitor. Let’s check everything that Dell announced at its launch event during CES here.

The new Alienware 500Hz gaming monitor (AW2524H) sets a new benchmark, as it has the fastest refresh rate for an IPS monitor. The 24.5-inch FHD display also has a low latency of 0.5ms Gtg (Grey to grey) response time, which helps deliver low blur and ghosting. Along with that, the panel comes with sRGB 99% color coverage and VESA DisplayHDR4000 support for vibrant and consistent colors.

The monitor features an improved design, which includes a hexagonal base structure that has a smaller footprint. It also comes with a built-in retractable headset hanger for gamers to store their over-ear headphones. Dell has also shared that the monitor’s pricing and availability will be revealed closer to its shipping date in the first quarter of 2023.

Dell unveils upgrades to its x and M series of gaming laptops along with new models

Along with a new gaming monitor, Dell has also introduced new gaming laptops. This includes four new Alienware laptops, which debut the company’s Legend 3 design that focuses on “form, function and quality.” They also come with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, which enhance the immersive experience for users. The laptops sport a new 16:10 display that comes with ComfortView Plus panels for reduced blue light emissions.

Other than that, these gaming laptops come with the revamped Alienware Command Center 6.0 with new features for controlling system performance. Additionally, the company has also added an improved thermal interface along with a higher resolution FHD webcam.

The Alienware M series features two new models including the M16 and the M18. Interested buyers can select up to the 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13980HX or the next-gen AMD processors. Plus, you can also choose from either NVIDIA GeForce RTX or AMD Radeon GPUs.

When it comes to the displays on these models, customers can either choose between a 165Hz QHD or 480Hz FHD panel. They also have dual user-replaceable DDR5 SO-DIMM RAM slots, and one can have up to 9TB of storage capacity.

Both laptop models will launch with the high-end configuration first this Winter. While the M18 will start at $2899, the M16 will cost $2599. With regards to the entry level models, the M18 variant will begin at $2099, while the M16 version comes in at $1899.

The stylish x series of Alienware laptops have undergone a refresh as well. Alienware x16 will offer 50 lighting zones to gamers, and it is touted to be the first Alienware laptop with the new AlienFX Scanner, Loop and Rainbow lighting mods. When it comes to the x14, Dell has dubbed it the World’s thinnest 14-inch gaming laptop, while offering Type-C USB charging.

Just like the M series, the x16 variant will be available this Winter with the high-end configurations sold first. While the high-end variant comes in at $3099, the low-end version will be available from $2149. The x14 will be sold at a base price of $1799. Dell has not shared the India pricing or availability for both M and x series of laptops.

Dell G-Series gaming laptops also get latest hardware

Finally, Dell has also revamped the G series of gaming laptops. The new G15 and G16 models come with a design inspired by the 80s pop aesthetics. While the G15 will offer one-zone and four-zone RGB keyboard options with numpad, the G16 comes with one-zone RGB and Cherry MX keyboard choices.

The G series will arrive a bit earlier than the Alienware models, as they launch this Spring. While the G15 will start at $849, the G16 model begins its pricing at $1499.
