Destiny 2 Community Bids Farewell to Forsaken Content as the Witch Queen DLC Arrives

We’re just a few hours away from the release of The Witch Queen expansion, as fans hold their breaths for all the exciting action that is set to come their way.

With Destiny 2 currently undergoing downtime, Guardians are taking a breather as they wait for the update to finally become online.

However, the downtime has allowed fans to reminisce and say goodbye to some of the content that will enter the Destiny 2 vault with the release of the update.

With the game entering its fifth year, the developers at Bungie have shed a bit of the file size by removing some of the previous expansions. This includes the entire Forsaken campaign, which first dropped in 2018.

As it’s the end of the line for the Forsaken campaign, Guardians will have to bid adieu to many fan-favorite characters include Cayde-6, who became one of the franchise’s icons for his hilarious quips and one-liners.

Other than that, locations like the Tangled Shore will also meet its demise, as players won’t also have any Year 4 seasonal content such as Presage and Harbinger missions too.

In the end, it’s a farewell to one of the more well received expansions for Destiny 2 fans, and Guardians hope that the upcoming update will provide a similar experience for them.
