Disney Reportedly Aims To Release A Star Wars Title Every 6 Months

According to the latest report by industry insider, Tom Henderson, it seems that Disney plans to release a new Star Wars title every six months. As the report goes, it seems that Disney requires a flagship release and another small release every year, and LucasFlim plans to see through these plans. A total of eight titles have already been announced and are said to be in development, check them out below:

  • Amy Hennig’s Game – Skydance Media
  • Untitled FPS – Respawn Entertainment
  • Open World Game – Ubisoft Massive
  • Star Wars: Eclipse – Quantic Dream
  • Knights of the Old Republic Remake – Saber Interactive
  • Jedi: Survivor (Fallen Order sequel) – Respawn Entertainment
  • Star Wars: Hunters – Zynga
  • Untitled Strategy Game – Respawn Entertainment

These are only the eight titles that have been announced in some form or another, it is believed that many more Star Wars titles are in the works, but they are miles away from a release date announcement. One of the titles in the list, Star Wars Eclipse, which is being developed by Quantic Dreams, will not be release before 2026. It seems that the developers have been finding trouble with Quantic Dream’s Engine, as it seems to not be able to handle the load of such a humongous game.

Other titles such as a Mandalorian themed game seems to be in the works too, but so far we haven’t heard any concrete information about the game. Other than that it seems that there might be several mobile games that might be in development at the moment, along with other small scale projects. Whatever it is, this is great news for fans as who does not want to play a new Star Wars title every 6 months. We genuinely hope that Disney is able to deliver on these goals.
