While the former pro-turned-pundit thought Raducanu would be capable of winning more Grand Slam titles in the future, she believes the young Brit needed to settle into her role as a mainstay on the WTA Tour and rid herself of expectations first.
“I think that we just have to give her some time,” the Austrian who resides in Australia said.
“I wouldn’t think that she’s going to do a lot of damage now at the Australian Open but I think once people settle down. And I feel like she expects a lot from herself as well, once that expectation just settles as well, she will have her success.
“I have no doubt that she will have success, that she can definitely win another Grand Slam, but I think for the Australian Open it’s going to be a little bit too early.”
