Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar have been painting the town red with their love story for quite some time. As it was time to take the next step in their relationship, they got married in an intimate wedding at his father Javed Akhtar’s farmhouse in Khandala where their close-knit family and friends came to be a part of their joyous day.
Speaking to a leading daily where Farhan was asked about any changes he feels has surfaced between the couple post marriage, he commented, ” I don’t know if it feels any different. Shibani and I have been together for many years now. So, on some level, this puts some kind of an official tag to it. But apart from that, our relationship is amazing. It has been since we started dating and we’ve taken this to another level together. This just feels great as always.”
The couple had dated for four years before they decided to take the plunge and got married on February 19, 2022. Shibani too shared how the lockdown was one of the reasons why they both got to know each other a lot better. She shared, “We already do so much together, in terms of, we work out together, we watch content together, we would play with our dogs together, and then he would go off and work, and I would go off and work. So we had a great balance, that way. And we have a lot of interests that are similar. We both like our time apart as well. We had a great set-up going on, actually.”
