From Kareena, Kiara to Rani and Kajol – the best dressed divas at Karan Johar’s birthday bash
When one of the most renowned filmmakers throws a grand birthday party, it sure turns out to be a star-studded affair. Last night Karan Johar celebrated his milestone 50th Birthday. The creme-de-la-creme of tinsel town made a show-stopping entry at the YRF Studios where an elaborate evening was planned with top-notch decor and all things lavish.
Bollywood Divas put their best fashion foot forward and raised the temperature with their glamorous looks. Sequins and blingy ensembles seemed to be on the memo for Karan’s birthday bash – Rani Mukerji entered in a classic black sequin dress and the highlight was the swinging butterfly sleeves. Kajol went the glam way with her olive green sequin outfit with a risky thigh-slit to complement her look. Anushka Sharma was an absolute stunner in a black co-ords set, the silhouette was extremely flattering that featured a sultry key-hole neckline and a slit at the bottom of the skirt. Katrina Kaif was a vision to behold in a white bodycon dress with voluminous feather-like detailing on the shoulder. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stole hearts as she turned golden girl for the night, styled in a gold sequin bodycon gown with a chic touch of a blazer.
Malaika Arora turned up the heat in a neon-green satin co-ords set with a purple inner and eye-catching hot pink block heels. Kareena Kapoor Khan kept it classy and minimal in a blingy silver sequin dress featuring a plunging neckline and pleats on the lower bodice of the one-piece. Kiara Advani went for a boss-lady look as she opted for a silver mesh skirt and a tailored white blazer on top.
Two of the most loved millennial stars in tinsel town – Janhvi Kapoor stunned in a pink metallic gown with a risque thigh-high slit and plunging neckline while Sara Ali Khan played it safe but classic nevertheless in her black off-shoulder sequined dress featuring a sweetheart neckline and a giant belt cinching the waistline.
Tara Sutaria took the traditional route in a lovely white lehenga that featured an off-shoulder blouse and heavily embellished skirt. Parineeti Chopra went for a silver-studded outfit that featured structured shoulder pads and full sleeves.
Making a show-stomping entry late in the evening was the timeless Madhuri Dixit in a boho look where she paired a black top with cape sleeves with a pink and purple printed pair of parallel trousers.
It was indeed a night of glitz and glamour as the best of the best of Bollywood town had their favourite Divas strutting in, putting their best fashion foot forward.
