The esports community is pretty disheartened about this revelation , and have shared their thoughts on social media acknowledging Carlos’ efforts towards G2 and esports as a whole. Some of the people feel that the decision was unfair and such an extreme action wasn’t needed, whereas the others feel that this issue was not just because of one mistake, but all the events that led to it. Check out what all the popular esports personalities had to say about this situation below:
No matter our 1 hiccup This is fucking sad day for esports
Stupid as fuck and unfair

We’ll remember you for the good things Carlos. We know you’ll learn from the bad things. Stay strong.

When incidents like what happened with Carlos and G2 occur, it usually isn’t because of one tweet or one event
Usually the tweet arises and comes to the surface as a result of a pattern of behavior
I don’t think the moral of this story should be “one mistake can cost you”

If people condemn you for acting like a fool and then you double down before making a fake apology, you’re proving yourself to be unfit as a leader. Carlos put his ego above everything else and cost G2 a lot. It’s business, plain and simple, and that bullshit is bad for business.

I am sad to see Carlos stepping down as CEO of G2.
I don’t agree with his recent actions, but he has done so much good for the esports scene that it hurts to see things go this way.
The worst part is he will likely be replaced by yet another outsider who doesn’t get it
