Gethin Jones, 45, is famed for being one of TV’s most eligible bachelors, and now the TV star has revealed he is yet to set up his own account on a dating app.

The Morning Live host was previously in a relationship with German underwear model Katja Zwara.

The pair dated for a year before splitting in February 2018.

Opening up on single life, Gethin told Express.co.uk: “I’ve never done an online app, it’s such a shame.

“I’ve got the perfect photos for an online profile but I’ve never done it.

“I went on Raya for a week. What a joke that was. I don’t even know how I ended up on there.

“I think my mate put me on it during lockdown because he said I needed to get out more.”

Back in 2007, the 44-year-old became involved with Welsh mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins after first meeting two years earlier in 2005.

Three years later in February 2011, the pair announced their engagement. Unfortunately, ten months down the line in December, the couple revealed that they would be going their separate ways.

After splitting from Gethin, Katherine went on to date artist and film director Andrew Levitas.

Three years after his break-up with opera singer Katherine, Gethin started a relationship with TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh.

But almost before it had begun, Lucy revealed their budding relationship was over.

She told New! magazine at the time: “We’re not dating. We went out a few times a while ago but it was bad timing for both of us.”

It comes as the outdoor retailer GO Outdoors introduced Gethin as its brand-new North Ridge ambassador for 2023.

A familiar face on television for almost 20 years, Gethin joins Julia Bradbury, Helen Skelton, Sean Fletcher, and David Seaman as the latest celebrity brand ambassador to join the GO Outdoors family.

When he’s not on the telly, the Cardiff-born presenter is a keen adventurer and enjoys spending time outdoors, whether that’s playing sport or exploring new hiking trails.

Gethin shared: “I’m so excited that the news is finally out and I can announce that I’m the new brand ambassador for North Ridge.

“Getting outdoors is so important to me, especially since the pandemic, I didn’t realise how much it would impact my mental health.”
