The Esports scene in India as well as globally is highly competitive and players need to remain at the top of their game to provide consistent performances and stay relevant in the industry. BGMI has been one of the most watched games in the India Esports scene. As of right now it is banned in the country, but many are still practizing on the title, as it could make a comeback.
Through a report by AFKGaming, we have learned that the coach of GodLike Esports, Abhijeet Andhare aka Ghatak, is not too happy with the BGMI squad. He feels that the players have lost their enthusiasm and passion for the game and haven’t been practising as regularly or with as much dedication as they would previously. According to him, the players have lost their focus.
He added that after the analysis of their matches in the last two weeks, he feels the players are performing at a lackluster level. He was also asked why the players were not streaming regularly to which he replied that they had become “too comfortable with life.” And due to the money they have been earning, the dedication for playing the game has been lost as well. He has also given an ultimatum stating if the squad continues to behave similarly, then he will have to resort to replacing them.
That was not all, on another stream he opened up more about the issues within the squad. He first spoke about them not being able to focus on battles and losing them. Post that the players resort to using social media on their phones. Earlier, that time would be used to play games on their phones, but that does not seem to be the case anymore.
Ghatak again spoke about replacing the team with a better one, if the focus for the competing does not return. Fans are hoping that this rant by Ghatak would drive some seriousness in the squad, but we will just have to wait and see what lies in the future for the GodLike Esports BGMI Squad.
