Gmail down for several users

Google’ email service Gmail is down for several users. Both app and desktop version of the world’s most-popular email service seems to be affected. Downdetector, the website that tracks online status of apps and websites, has been showing disruption in Gmail’s service since 7 pm. The reports peaked around 7.39 pm with 210 users reporting outages.
The downdetector website has also tweeted about the outage. “User reports indicate Gmail is having problems since 9:12 AM EST. http://downdetector.com/status/gmail/ RT if you’re also having problems #Gmaildown,” tweeted the website. It is also not clear how widespread the outage is. Several users on Twitter are reporting that Gmail is down for them.
The GoogleWorkspace dashboard is, however, showing all Google services in Green. This means that there is no disruption in service. “This page provides status information on the services that are part of Google Workspace. Check back here to view the current status of the services listed below. If you are experiencing an issue not listed here, please contact Support. Learn more about what’s posted on the dashboard in this FAQ. For additional information on these services, please visit https://workspace.google.com/,” is how the company describes the Google Workspace Status Dashboard. There is no official acknowledgement from the company on any of the social media handles as well. The last tweet from Gmail’s official handle is 16 hours ago.
