With around a month to go for the release of God of War Ragnarok, fans have slowly began their prep for their playthrough of the long-awaited sequel.
With the original title from 2018 leaving fans speechless with its story and gameplay, it’s very likely that Santa Monica Studio has developed a similar experience, which will cause fans to stick their behinds on their gaming chair, as they complete the epic adventure with Kratos and his son Atreus.
While PlayStation or Santa Monica Studio hasn’t revealed any details about the playthrough experience, new leaks suggest that fans will have to free up a lot of time in order to finish the game off in a single sitting.
According to Insider Gaming, God of War Ragnarok is reportedly around 40 hours in length with the main story and all the side quests. Players who aren’t particularly interested in going off-track with the side quests will require around 20 hours to go through the main story.
Out of the 40 hours, Santa Monica Studio has worked on 4.5 hours worth of cinematics, with 3.5 hours worth of clips attached to the main quest.
While the length of the main quest is on par with the 2018 Game of the Year winning PlayStation title, the complete run will require players to stick around for around 7.5 hours more than the original.
With the pre-load date of the title revealed for the PS4 and PS5, fans should definitely not wait a single second when the game drops on November 9, and we for one can’t wait to try it out as well.
