Golden Globes 2023: AR Rahman, Alia Bhatt and Chiranjeevi react to RRR’s win for Naatu Naatu

SS Rajamouli’s RRR landed a historic win at the Golden Globes 2023 as the film won Best Song – Motion Picture for Naatu Naatu. The energetic dance track featuring the film’s leads – Ram Charan and Jr NTR is composed by M.M. Keeravani with lyrics by Chandrabose. The win has left the film’s team ecstatic and now, several celebrities including Alia Bhatt, AR Rahman and Chiranjeevi have come forward to share their congratulations.

Superstar Chiranjeevi took to his Twitter handle to share his excitement for RRR’s Naatu Naatu winning Best Song at the Golden Globes 2023. He wrote, “What a Phenomenal, Historic Achievement !!!! Golden Globes Best Original Song – Motion Picture Award to @mmkeeravaani garu !! Take a Bow! Heartiest Congratulations Team @RRRMovie & @ssrajamouli!! India is proud of you! #NaatuNaatu”

Oscar-winner AR Rahman shared his congratulations in a tweet that read, “Incredible ..Paradigm shift. Congrats Keeravani Garu from all Indians and your fans! Congrats @ssrajamouli Garu and the whole RRR team!”


Earlier, Ram Charan offered a glimpse of team RRR at the Golden Globes 2023. He wrote, “& WE WON THE GOLDEN GLOBES @goldenglobes @rrrmovie #natunatu.”

RRR was nominated in two categories at the 80th Golden Globe Awards. Naatu Naatu beat Taylor Swift’s Carolina (Where The Crawdads Sing), Ciao Papa (Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio), Lady Gaga’s Hold My Hand (Top Gun: Maverick) and Rihanna’s Lift Me Up (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) to win the Best Song – Motion Picture award. The film lost in the Best Non-English Language Film category to Argentina, 1985 from Argentina.
