Golden Globes 2023: RRR’s Naatu Naatu wins Best Original Song, Loses Best Non-English Language Film
SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster RRR made waves at the Golden Globes 2023. The film made history as it won Best Original Song for the infectious Naatu Naatu. However, the RRR did not manage to bag a win in the Best Non-English Language Film category. The award went to Argentina, 1985.
RRR’s Naatu Naatu was announced as the winner in the Best Original Song category. The award was accepted by M.M. Keeravani who had composed the track. The lyrics were penned by Chandrabose. RRR went into the awards season as one of the buzziest titles from India. The film starring Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody and more is a period drama that sees two revolutionaries go up against British rule in India in the 1920s.
