As we recently learned, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has finally gone gold after several delays, and today pre-orders officially opened. Of course, the game does have a special “Precious Edition,” which includes some rather unique bonuses. So, what exactly does The Lord of the Rings: Gollum Precious Edition include? Well, you get exclusive concept art and a lore compendium that provides some additional backstory for what you’ll be experiencing, but the feature that really sticks out is the “Sindarin VO Expansion.” This adds more lines of dialogue for the game’s Elves, spoken in their native language of Sindarin, which Daedalic Entertainment promises will be provided by “professionals” proficient in made-up languages. What an odd thing to charge extra for. Anyways, here’s the full rundown of everything included in the Precious Edition…

“Overall, I was pleased with the way The Lord of the Rings: Gollum came off. While the graphics had some minor issues, the game was still in an early beta phase at that point, so I expect the developers to fix them before the full product releases. The adventure itself seems like it will build up a great story that fans of Lord of the Rings can sink their teeth into, and you don’t even necessarily have to be a fan of the series to enjoy this entry as well.”
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum launches on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5 on May 25. The standard edition of the game costs $50, while the Precious Edition will set you back $60.
