google lens update: Google Lens update to make browsing for images faster on Android

0

Google Lens on Android has got a new update to make browsing for images on your smartphone easier, as per a report by 9To5Google. The update adds a new chevron icon near the “Screenshots” option on the Google Lens homescreen. Tapping on the icon will open a dropdown menu displaying all the image folders on your device. You can then select any of the folders to access the images.
The new dropdown menu could come in handy when searching for the images saved via other apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, and others and not just by using ‘Screenshots’ or the gallery views. According to the report, the Google Lens update for Android also changes the look of previews in the top grid. They will now appear as rectangles, instead of squares. The update has started rolling out today.
Google has also begun the rollout of Android 12L . The new operating system is an update to Android 12 for big screen devices and comes with features that are designed to make tablets and foldables easier to use. The Android 12L operating system will be made available to tablets and foldables with planned updates from Samsung, Lenovo and Microsoft, said Google in a blogpost.
The Android 12L brings some changes to the UI elements of the home screen, lock screen, notification shade, device set-up screens and settings. For example, notifications and quick tiles have been given their own dedicated columns so that the user gets more space to see and then swipe away the notifications. Users will also be able to make changes to various settings without having to go in and out of each section.
