Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL announced at Google I/O 2019

Tech giant Google has finally made the announcement of its latest flagship phones, Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. As expected, the latest flagship phones are launched at Google I/O conference 2019. Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are one of the most budget-friendly phones in the Pixel family. They still feature the superb Pixel camera that has been Google’s signature advantage. But the tech giant has reduced the specifications of these phones to maintain their production cost.

The all-new Google Pixel 3a features a 5.6-inch full-HD+ (1080×2220 pixels) OLED display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio and 441ppi. At the other end, Pixel 3a XL is rumored to sport a 6-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 402ppi pixel density.

Under the hood, both of these smartphones are powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 SoC which is further coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage.

In the camera department, both of the models carry the same cameras with 12.2-megapixel Dual Pixel cameras at the rear while an 8-megapixel selfie camera at the front. Furthermore, the phones comes with an excellent camera with Google’s Night Sight, Portrait Mode, Motion Auto Focus, and unlimited Google Photos storage.

Apart from this, the Pixel 3a is fuelled by 3,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, while the Pixel 3a XL comes with 3,700mAh battery with the same fast charging technology. Both of the phones will carry a fingerprint sensor at the back and runs on the latest Android 9 Pie out of the box.

As for the price, the Google Pixel 3a will be available starting at $399 USD while the larger variant, Pixel 3a XL goes for $479. As for the availability, both of these phones are available to buy right now. In the US, the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are available via T-Mobile, Sprint, US Cellular, and Verizon.
