Google launched its mid-range smartphone Pixel 6a in India recently. The smartphone went on sale yesterday (July 28) and it has now started receiving its first software update.
Google Pixel 6a started receiving its first software update. The software update doesn’t bring much to the smartphone and it only bumps up the Android security patch level of the smartphone to June 2022. After this, Google is expected to skip the July patch and is said to roll out the security patch for the month of August for the Pixel 6a.
The company is rolling out the software update in a phased manner and it is expected to reach all the users soon. Users will receive a push notification about the update. However, users can also manually check for the update by going to Settings> System> System Update.

Pixel 6a will receive five years of security updates, alongside the latest features and updates, introduced by Google. Pixel 6a will also be among the first Android devices to receive the upcoming Android 13 update.
