Google to Bring Dark Mode Feature on Desktop and ChromeOS

Dark Mode is getting more devices and platforms. We have seen the same Dark Mode in many mobile and desktop apps over the past few months. And now, the search engine giant, Google has announced that they are bringing the much-awaited Dark Mode theme to its Google Chrome’s Desktop and ChromeOS.

According to reports, the company is not yet prepared to release this Dark Mode as it is not stable yet. Currently, this dark mode is under testing phase. it gets darker and doesn’t let anyone reads letters. Now, Google is making its way to bring five new useful features with the latest update.

For quite some time, Google allows Android users to make use of Google Flags to activate the Dark Mode. However, the Dark Mode on Google Chrome browser for the Android platform is not impressive. According to sources, the search giant has implemented the same Dark Mode theme code from Android to Google Chrome’s Desktop and ChromeOS platforms.

There will be a new Force Dark Mode available for web contents. This feature will automatically render all web contents with the dark mode.

Apparently, the Dark Mode is not yet ready for Google Chrome for the public. There are five different black modes available on Google Chrome at presently which you can use for different purposes.

As listed by 9to5Google, here we have also enlisted those five modes which can be accessed from Google Chrome.

  • simple HSL-based inversion
  • simple CIELAB-based inversion
  • selective image inversion
  • selective inversion of non-image elements
  • selective inversion of everything

The stable Dark mode theme for Google Chrome is not prepared and it under development mode. Google will invert all the dark-mode theme colors from its Android platform to the Desktop and ChromeOS platform in the coming days.

The search giant will take a few more weeks to finish this work on enabling the Dark Mode on Google Chrome and ChromeOS. We will let you update with more information about the same.
