Gotham Knights Release Date Has Changed

As part of Gamescom Opening Night Live 2022, Warner Bros. Games released a brand new trailer for the upcoming Gotham Knights, and there was also the surprise announcement that the game has a new release date, too.

The trailer, which serves as an introduction to the game’s villains, opens with Gotham City detective Renee Montoya monologing about the state of the city. Crime is on the rise and ever since Batman kicked the bucket, criminals have been emboldened to carry out their criminal activities. That is until the Gotham Knights clock in a few shifts and Detective Montoya realizes that if she wants any success in her job, she needs to work with the vigilantes rather than against them.

The trailer goes on to show off some of the villains the Gotham Knights will face, with familiar favorites such as Harley Quinn, Mr. Freeze, Sandman, and more. While the trailer does show a few of the game’s villains, it’s possible that some have been kept behind as a surprise.

Along with the trailer comes the news that the Gotham Knights release date has changed. Originally set to release on October 25th, 2022, Batgirl, Nightwing, Redhood, and Robin will start cleaning up Gotham on October 21st, 2022. There’s no reason given for the slightly earlier release date, but we’ll take it, won’t we?
