Stunned by the gesture, businesswoman Karren said in her latest column for The Sun: “After having her reputation dragged through the mud in a ludicrous court case over a skiing incident, you could forgive Gwyneth Paltrow a few cross words.”

Karren continued of Gwyneth’s last words to Sanderson at the end of the trial: “That she should show good grace after the ordeal speaks volumes.

“Every moment of the 2016 collision in a Utah ski resort was pored over in detail during the eight-day, televised trial.

“The jury found Terry Sanderson was “100 per cent” responsible.

“And despite claiming his life had been turned upside down by the crash, and that it had left him living like a ‘recluse’, Facebook photos showed him skiing, hiking and holidaying around the world.

“I’m not sure I would have been so forgiving,” the TV star divulged.

Goop entrepreneur Gwyneth was sued by Sanderson after a collision between the two of them on the slopes, which he claimed had left him with brain damage.

Following her victory, the star took to Instagram to speak out on the verdict, in view of her 8.3 million followers.

She wrote: “I felt that acquiescing to a false claim compromised my integrity.

“I am pleased with the outcome and I appreciate all of the hard work of Judge Holmberg and the jury, and thank them for their thoughtfulness in handling this case.”

Sanderson is now expected to cover the symbolic $1 Gwyneth requested in the courtroom, plus her legal fees.

Gwyneth’s lawyer, Steven Owen, also stated: “Gwyneth has a history of advocating for what she believes in – this situation was no different and she will continue to stand up for what is right.”

Meanwhile, Sanderson said that he was “very disappointed” by the verdict, claiming that issues had been raised which were “absolutely not true”.
