Hair cut and colour can be transformative when it comes to taking years off the face – or adding them on.
But the way women style their hair day-to-day is also pretty important in terms of anti-ageing.
Glam Girl Gabi shared a styling tip that will help 50+ women maintain a youthful look – and it’s super simple.
She told mature women to “embrace their natural hair’s texture”, rather than force their hair to be something it isn’t.

This means that the curly-haired ladies among us should stop forcing it to be pin-straight.
And in the same vein, women with naturally straight hair should not be refusing to leave the house without huge, voluminous curls.
Of course, there’s nothing wrong with changing your hair up occasionally and experimenting with different styles, but refusing to accept your natural look is not the way to go.
The expert revealed that she spent her whole life “fighting” her wavy hair and has only accepted her natural texture in the past two years.
She said: “Now I wear it with this natural texture all the time and when I wear my hair like this I’ve been told that I look significantly younger.
“I agree with this and I think the reason for this is that natural texture gives an effortless vibe that just screams ‘youth’.”
She urged women, no matter what haircut they go for next, to find a way to style it that accentuates their hair’s natural texture – at least “once in a while”.
Keeping it in its natural texture from time to time also gives the hair a break from heated tools which can damage it in the long run.

Glam Girl Gabi also shared one of her favourite youthful haircut mature ladies can ask for at the salon.
She called this chop the “Bixie”, a combination of the popular “bob” and “pixie” cuts.
According to Latest Hairstyles, the “Bixie” cut offers the “fullness of a short pixie and the versatility of a bob”.
Gabi explained that this cut is very easy and quick to style, and can be made “super playful” with the help of pomades and waxes.
