Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu to join Social Impact Powerhouses in order to launch a Global Coalition. Their aim is to launch a social impact alliance to help create and lead a platform on menstrual equity. Menstrual equity refers to the affordability, accessibility and safety of menstrual products. Social Entrepreneur Arunachalam Muruganantham aka Padman is also going to be present at the event.
The event will take place at Mudra House in Mumbai on March 22.
Ravinder Kaur Sandhu, Harnaaz’s mother and a gynaecologist, has always been an inspiration to Sandhu, who wishes to be a leader in women empowerment with a focus on menstrual cleanliness and breast cancer awareness.
Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu was crowned Miss Universe on December 13, 2021 in Israel, 21 years after Lara Dutta won the title in 2000.
