Not a profitable deal
It seems like 2022 didn’t end too well for Sonam K Ahuja. The Veere Di Wedding actor reportedly sold her plush apartment in Bandra Kurla Complex for about Rs 32.5 crore. What’s bad about it, you’d ask? Well, she apparently bought the 5,533 sq ft property on the third floor of Signature Island for about R31.48 crore in June 2015. Going by the development, her deal didn’t even account for the interest she had to pay on her investment in the apartment, where she hosted the mehndi ceremony before her 2018 wedding with Anand Ahuja. The new owner of the swanky apartment also gets four parking lots in the premises.

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s romantic number for Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani that couldn’t be shot last year in Europe due to paperwork issues, will finally be filmed next month. Said to be one of the most special songs for the filmmaker, it will be KJo’s tribute to his guru, Yash Chopra. KJo has always been keen to film a song like the late filmmaker did. Rishi Kapoor and Sridevi’s look in the 1989 blockbuster Chandni will be the inspiration for Ranveer and Alia’s avatars in the special sequence. Cool!

Contrary to reports of unforeseen changes deferring Pathaan’s release, insiders maintain that the Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone-starrer is on track. After unveiling the teaser on SRK’s birthday, and two songs last month, director Siddharth Anand and the producers are set to present the trailer on January 10. Calling it a feast for big-scale action entertainer lovers, our source says, “The makers always wanted to launch the trailer two weeks before the release. They wanted to build intrigue around the film and create hysteria, which they have managed to do.” The movie releases in cinema halls on January 25.
For son’s sake
It appears that Aamir Khan is planning to make the most of his time away from the camera. Over the next year-and-a-half, he will not only oversee the production of director RS Prasanna’s adaptation of the Spanish film, Campeones, but also keep a close watch on the post-production of son Junaid’s debut movie, Maharaja. Apparently, there is more to Aamir’s absence away from the camera than meets the eye. Sources say that he is staying away from the limelight to avoid any negativity and criticism ahead of Junaid’s maiden venture.
