Have you heard? Not letting go

A strange war of words has gripped social media. Fans of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput are celebrating the lukewarm reception to Deepika Padukone’s latest film, Gehraiyaan using the opportunity to criticise the actor for having apparently spoken ill of Rajput in the past. Fans of Rajput are unhappy with the way the case of his death has been dealt with. Apart from organising protests to effect change, fans are leaving no stone unturned to troll stars who have, in the past, degraded the actor. Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut has also taken a dig at Padukone, stating that, “I am also a millennial, but I identify and understand this kind of romance. In the name of new age, urban movies, don’t sell trash please. Bad movies are bad movies. No amount of skin show or pornography can save it.”

Remembering Deo

A prayer meet was held yesterday at the Iskcon temple for actor-director Ramesh Deo, who passed away recently. Urmila Matondkar, Pallavi Joshi, and director Rajesh Mapuskar, among others, were present to offer their condolences to the late actor’s sons, Ajinkya and Abhinay Deo.

Part three underway?

Ajay Devgn teased fans during a social media interaction. In a game called Would You Rather, Devgn responded to the question — Would you rather do a film, or a sequel? Devgn responded stating that he’d rather work on a sequel, and indicated the number ‘three’. “Oh my God! Did you just reveal that Singham 3 is in making?” a user commented. “Are you coming back with Singham?” another wrote. The first two instalments of Rohit Shetty’s film earned rave reviews.

Agra wedding for Luv Ranjan

Pictures of Ranbir Kapoor accompanying director Luv Ranjan and his fiancée to Manish Malhotra’s place to finalise their wedding outfits have been doing the rounds. However, while Bollywood’s favourite stylist Malhotra is designing the attire of Ranjan’s fiancée, it is heard that the filmmaker’s outfits are being created by Samidha Wangnoo. The destination for the big fat wedding on February 20 is Agra. pics/yogen shah

Not so funny?

Fans of a comedian, one would assume, would have a sense of humour. However, Hina Khan found herself in the bad books of comedian Sunil Grover’s fans after her play of words when wishing him a speedy recovery. Grover gave his fans a health update after his heart surgery, to which Khan, who is set to move into an apartment above his, tweeted, “Get well soon, neighbour. Mai aarahi hoon oopar jaldi.” With Grover having recently recovered from a health scare, his fans didn’t approve Khan’s choice of words, and demanded that she delete her tweet. “Please don’t use these words, they are heavy and too scary,” tweeted one user.

83 again

83 may be behind us but director Kabir Khan hasn’t had his fill of discussing the film. The filmmaker recently flew to England to deliver a talk at the University of Warwick on the making of the Ranveer Singh-led sports drama. Khan, who, always enjoys speaking with students, says, “I’ve received hundreds of messages from students across the world enquiring about the process of recreating a historic moment like 83 with such attention to detail. I’m really looking forward to the interaction.”

Rakhi, Ritesh part ways

Rakhi Sawant and Ritesh Singh have decided to part ways. Sawant took to Instagram to share that “after the Bigg Boss show, a lot has  happened and I was unaware of certain things”. Sawant added that while the duo tried to iron out their differences, their efforts went in vain. Singh first appeared on the recently concluded season of Bigg Boss, where he was criticised for his behaviour towards her. They had, however, made several public outings together after the show.

Pyaar kiya toh darna kya?

Raqesh Bapat joined Shamita Shetty and her family members, including mother Sunanda, and sister Shilpa and her kids, for an Alibaug getaway on Sunday. While her team maintains they’re away to celebrate her birthday, which was 10 days ago, rumour has it that the lovebirds want to celebrate Valentine’s Day together. What’s there to hide, anyway?
