South actor Pragya Jaiswal’s dream to share screen space with Salman Khan remained unfulfilled after her role got the axe from Antim: The Final Truth. She played his romantic interest in Mahesh Manjrekar’s directorial venture, which released in November. During the final edit, the makers felt the Jaiswal-Khan love angle was unnecessary in the action thriller. Barely two months later, a disheartened Jaiswal has a reason to cheer. One of the songs, Main chala, which she shot for the film, has been released as a music video. The track, composed and penned by Shabbir Ahmed, is sung by Guru Randhawa and Iulia Vantur. Jaiswal is happy that at least the love ballad is out in which she is seen shampooing the superstar’s flowing mane and ties his turban. He reciprocates by giving her a back massage with his elbows. There was certainly no place for mush in the revenge drama.

Ishaan Khatter showcased his rock-climbing skills by posting images from an adventure trail and asked, “Is anyone doing an Indian Spider-Man?” The fitness enthusiast showcased his ripped body and did not forget to wear a mask considering the prevailing situation while navigating the rocky terrain. Superheroes also need to protect themselves from the virus.

Shah Rukh Khan won hearts by his touching gesture of sending an autographed picture and handwritten note for an Egyptian travel agent fan. Last month, economics professor Ashwini Deshpande tweeted that the travel agent trusted her during a money transfer issue because she “came from the country of Shah Rukh Khan”. He told Deshpande to pay him later. “For anywhere else, I wouldn’t do this. But anything for SRK,” he told her. The viral tweet made King Khan respond to Deshpande’s request to surprise his diehard fan.
Sister love
On Saturday, Sunaina Roshan turned 50. Parents Rakesh and Pinkie and brother Hrithik hosted a small get-together, which was attended by Sussanne Khan. “Here is to 50 years of incredible you, and an incredible 50 more. Love you and stay blessed always,” posted Rakesh. “Some bonds are eternal,” wrote Khan.

Jubin Nautiyal’s latest song, O aasmanwale, is a soulful number, which he feels will leave listeners teary-eyed. “As a singer, it’s challenging to take on intense songs. You want a listener to feel the emotions behind the lyrics,” says Nautiyal about the track composed by Rochak Kohli and written by Manoj Muntashir. The music video, shot in Shimla, stars model Neha Khan.

Shraddha Kapoor turned bridesmaid at make-up artist buddy Shraddha Naik’s wedding at a resort in Lonavla. The actor also presided over the ceremony. “From getting introduced in a professional set-up 12 years back to becoming friends then best friends to you being the officiator of my wedding, we’ve come a long way. It meant the world to Richie and me,” wrote Naik. The namesakes call each other Shraddie.
A reason to cheer
Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan are nearing the completion of the month-long shoot of Laxman Utekar’s untitled film in Madhya Pradesh. Co-actor Sharib Hashmi shared a glimpse of the unit members. “Made beautiful memories on the sets of this beautiful film with a dream team,” wrote Hashmi and added that he will miss talking in the Indori twang, which was needed for the social comedy.

Over the weekend, Kaal Bhairav Rahasya and Ek Ghar Banauga actor Rahul Sharma tied the knot with Neha Sharma in Rajasthan. He toyed with the idea of postponing the marriage given the third wave, but “when you delay the ceremony the excitement goes for a toss,” feels Rahul. Neha teaches at a Jaipur school. The newlyweds are planning a honeymoon in Uttarakhand.
