Rescuers say the puppies were “afraid” and relying on each other for comfort when they were met by a rescue group who heard skittering sounds coming from a basement. Fortunately, the dogs have since met their adoptive owners, who were overjoyed to welcome their new family member.
Earlier that day, the Canada-based rescue group CC RezQs Regina received news about the puppies, who were said to be in a house near Saskatchewan, in the western part of Canada.
Alarmed by the update, staff members from the group immediately made their way to the house, despite not having any space to accommodate the pups at their rescue center.
As they approached the basement, they heard the skittering noise coming from below the stairs before discovering a group of 11 alarmed pups.

The dogs had been left in harrowing conditions and clearly had no idea where to turn, but the rescue team was beyond relieved to see that all 11 of the dogs were safe.
Rescuers were also aware they had to act quickly, having no idea when the pups had last eaten or drunk.
Removing the dogs from the basement proved a difficult task, they explained, as they had become wary of humans and were noticeably scared.
Writing in a Facebook post, CC RezQs Regina said: “They have no idea how kind humans can be. They have no idea how amazing their lives can be.”
One of the dogs’ foster family wrote: “I love you so much, Charlie. I never planned on [fostering], but I can’t imagine my life without you.”
