Here’s looking at Huma Qureshi’s glamorous Cannes Film Festival journey

Indian celebrities have always brought their A-game to the Cannes Film Festival red carpet. Among the many stars who are regulars at the prestigious film event is actress Huma Qureshi. The star isn’t just known for Bollywood films like Gangs of Wasseypur, but also for her Hollywood stint in Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead. Her penchant for stealing scenes is in sync with her ability to serve up looks upon looks on the red carpet.

In her Cannes Film Festival appearance in 2018, Huma Qureshi wore a platinum accent suit by Nikhil Thampi and it was quite a lesson in power dressing. She wore her hair slicked back and her makeup look was rather minimal, but she looked stunning nonetheless.

In 2019, Huma wore some of her most experimental looks at the Cannes Film Festival. She went the saree way and wore an ivory saree paired with a chikankari cape designed by Gaurav Gupta. Emerald jewellery added pops of colour to the otherwise all-white look.

Her most dramatic look of the year has got to be the grey Gaurav Gupta gown she wore. Between the sleeves and the flowy pattern, the dress turned heads, and so did Huma Qureshi’s beauty and ability to pull it off. In the same year, the actress also attended a Chopard party in Cannes in a red blazer and skirt designed by Nauman Piyarji. The actress looked pretty, to say the least.

The 75th Cannes Film Festival is currently underway. This edition is particularly special as Deepika Padukone is a part of the competition jury while several Indian celebrities like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Pooja Hegde, AR Rahman, R Madhavan and more are set to walk the red carpet. As Indian celebrities continue to grace the film event in style, we’re looking back at some of the most beautiful looks worn by Huma Qureshi.
