Chandler Wood, the Community Manager for Avalanche Studios, has clarified details surrounding the PlayStation-exclusive quest for Hogwarts Legacy.

When visiting the official PlayStation Store Page for Hogwarts Legacy, players are greeted with three different editions of the game, all of which will include an ‘exclusive quest’. The store page doesn’t go into any further details about what the quest is called, or if it’s only available to those who pre-order Hogwarts Legacy for PlayStation 4 or PlayStation.

Wood took to Twitter to clarify some details on the PlayStation-exclusive quest, replying to a fan who stated that it is “unreal this wasn’t communicated to fans before now”. In his reply, Wood said that “The PlayStation exclusive quest comes with any PlayStation version of the game”, which means that regardless of whether you purchase the Standard or Deluxe Edition of Hogwarts Legacy, you will have access to the quest.

He goes on to say that the quest is also not tied to pre-orders, so if you purchase Hogwarts Legacy for PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 after release, you will still be able to play. Wood did also express that “more details” are coming soon, so it’s possible that the name of the exclusive quest will be revealed prior to release, or maybe even gameplay footage of the quest.

Hogwarts Legacy was previously scheduled to launch in Holiday 2022, but a new release date trailer revealed that the title would now be available on February 10th, 2023. However, purchasing the Deluxe Edition of the game will grant you 72-hour early access, which means you’ll be able to jump in from February 7th.

Alongside the Standard and Deluxe Editions of Hogwarts Legacy, a huge Collector’s Edition was recently revealed. The special edition includes a steel case with the full game, the collector’s edition box, a life-size floating wand with bookcase, and the dark arts pack. Hogwarts Legacy’s Collector’s Edition is available to pre-order now, but it’ll set you back $300 USD if you want to get your hands on it.
