Chinese smartphone maker Honor has unveiled the new Honor 70 series in its native market. The lineup consists of three smartphones–Honor 70, Honor 70 Pro and Honor 70 Pro+– with the two high-end models bearing a lot of hardware similarities.
The Honor 70 Pro+ is priced at CNY 4,300 (about Rs 50,000) for the base RAM and storage variant of 8GB+256GB while the 12GB+256GB RAM and storage version is priced at CNY 4,600 (approx. Rs 53,500). The phone will go on sale from June 16.
Meanwhile, the Honor 70 Pro (8GB+256GB) starts at CNY 3,700 (about Rs 43,000). There is a 12GB+256GB version available at CNY 4,000 and also, a 12GB+512GB model at CNY 4,400. The phone will go on sale from June 10.
Honor 70 Pro+: Specifications
The Honor 70 Pro+ features a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone comes powered by the flagship 4nm chipset Dimensity 9000 SoC, coupled with a Mali-G710 MC10 GPU. The smartphone offers up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage.
All the three phones in the lineup come with a primary Sony IMX800 primary sensor with 54MP resolution and f/1.9 aperture. Then there is the 50MP ultra wide camera. The Pro and Pro+ models come with an additional 8MP telephoto module with 3x optical magnification (up to 30x digital) and OIS. At the front there is a 50MP punch hole camera with 100 degree FOV. The phone is backed by a 4,500mAh battery with 100W fast-charging support.
The Honor 70 Pro has almost the same hardware as the Pro+ but it differs when it comes to the storage and the chipset used and hence, differs in the price too. This smartphone is powered by the mid-range 5nm Dimensity 8000 SoC and has the Mali-G610 MC6 GPU. As mentioned above, the Pro version does come with a 512GB internal storage option, with 256GB being the base storage.
