[dropcap]O[/dropcap]n Friday, Huawei’s brand Honor launched the successor of Holly 3 smartphone in India called the Honor Holly 3+, the new smartphone is a mid-range device with the price tag of Rs. 12,999 ($201 approx) and is available across India through offline channels.
Design, look and specification of the Honor Holly 3+ is likely identical to its predecessor Holly 3 expect memory and storage. The new Holly 3+ sports a 5.5” HD (720×1280 pixels) display and runs on run on EMUI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz Kirin 620 octa-core CPU coupled with Mali T830 GPU. Now here is the major difference the new Holly 3+ comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage which is further expandable up to 128GB via micro SD card, unlike the Holly 3 which offers 2GB/32GB storage options.
In terms of photography, the new Holly 3+ seems identical. It also comes with a 13MP rare camera with BSI CMOS sensor with F2.0 aperture; On the front end there is an 8MP front facing camera that also has F2.0 aperture. The Holly 3+ packs a similar 3100mAh battery that came along with the Holly 3. Sensors include accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, compass, and G-sensor.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Driect, Wi-Fi hotspot, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth v4.0. The Holly 3+ at 154×77.1×8.45mm and weighs 168 grams. As mentioned earlier, the smartphone will be available through offline retailers, while the Holly 3 is available on Amazon India.
