Then after their second split, Paul began a controversial and much-discussed relationship with bartender Summer Monteys-Fullam, who he met while she was working in his local pub.

The fling ended badly, with Summer criticising her ex’s baking skills very publicly and telling the world that he ate “Rice Krispies” most nights instead of rustling up a delicious meal.

She developed an influencer career in the wake of the publicity generated by her controversial relationship with Paul.

However Paul countered Summer’s allegations by speaking very strongly of his passion for his food skills, telling the Radio Times adamantly: “It’s a magical thing, baking. It turns a house into a home.”
