Minecraft players are known to reach the depths of the map in search for valuable resources. While mining at the lowest points there is one thing that every Minecraft player is weary off and that is Lava Pools. Lava Pools are known to appear suddenly at the depths and they can destroy the player and anything else that comes in their path, so the players almost always needs to make a hasty getaway.

What if we told you that you don’t have to be scared of these pools anymore and there is a way that you can easily travel on it. Check out this guide to learn how to cross these deadly lava pools by simply riding one of the striders that can be found in these locations. One of the locations where players will deal with these lava pools the most is the Nether region.

There is only one thing that players need to cross these pools of death and that is a creature known as the Strider. These creatures can be found all around the Nether region, mostly minding their own business. Players just need to hop on one of these striders and then they will be ready to surf the waves of lava, but there is one requirement to hop on these Striders.

To hop on Striders, players need a saddle, but saddles cannot be crafted and need to be obtained naturally from the numerous chests present in Minecraft. Chests can be found in dungeons, strongholds, villages, jungle temples, desert temples, nether fortresses, end cities, igloos, woodland mansions, shipwrecks, ocean ruins, buried treasure, pillager outposts, bastion remnants, ruined portals and ancient city. Just break one of the chests in these areas and hope to god that you find a saddle. ‌

Now the next thing that player needs is something to control the movement of these Striders. Striders are creatures that flock towards Warped Fungus and can be made to follow the player using this item. To control a Strider’s movement, the player will need a Warped Fungus on a Stick, to craft it the players will need a Fishing Rod and some Warped Fungus.

Players can look for the Warped Fungus in the Nether region itself and for the Fishing Rod, it can be crafted with 3 sticks and 2 strings. One thing to note is that these Warped Fungi on stick have a life span and that slowly depreciates as the player travels on lava, so having more than one is recommended.
