Not everyone uses primer before putting on the rest of their make-up, but Saffron said they shouldn’t underestimate its importance.
“Primer is a mature woman’s best friend. Not only can it smooth the canvas – or face – before you apply foundation or concealer, it ups your make-up’s staying power so it’s less likely to settle into fine lines throughout the day,” she explained.
“Primers, used under face make-up, can be formulated with hydrating ingredients such as that create a glowing canvas to distract eyes from those fine lines.
