Peanuts aficionados have been heard.
After fans raised a ruckus about the Charlie Brown holiday specials being moved off network TV, including circulating an online petition that went viral, the beloved animated half-hours found a place on PBS, thanks to Apple TV+.
Those are the two places you must go to watch “A Charlie Brown Christmas” this year.
The Christmas special will also be available for free during a limited window on Apple TV+. It begins streaming Dec. 4 and can be watched for free from Dec. 11 to 13 .
After long runs on CBS and ABC, the Charlie Brown holiday specials, some of which first premiered in the 1960s, moved off network TV after Apple TV+ obtained the rights. Although Apple promised free streaming opportunities, many fans protested and asked that the animated specials have some sort of presence in their traditional place, broadcast TV.
