Microsoft CEO recently announced the tragic death of Zain Nadella, the son of CEO Satya Nadella.
The 26-year-old, who was born with Cerebral Palsy, died on Monday morning, and the news had been shared among the company’s staff in a recent email.
Zain had been a huge part of Satya Nadella’s outlook on the world because of his struggles with Cerebral Palsy.
Following Zain’s untimely passing, Twitter user Ramnath shared some excerpts from Satya Nadella’s New York Times’ Bestseller, Hit Refresh: The Quest to Rediscover Microsoft’s Soul and Imagine a Better Future for Everyone.
In Hit Refresh, Satya Nadella wrote about how his son Zain’s condition changed the way he looked at tech, his work and life itself. pic.twitter.com/Fr3VvpXXu4

Most of the book revolved around Nadella’s journey from growing up in India to becoming the CEO of one of the world’s biggest tech company.
However, along with that, him and his wife had shared details about the troubled birth of his son, back in 1996. The two had also talked about their frequent visits at the Children’s Hospital in Seattle, which had become a second home for them and Zain.
Along with that, Nadella’s visits at the Children’s Hospital also gave him an outlook on how Microsoft technologies had helped improve the medical space as most of the hardware were using some form of Cloud technology and Windows as the operating system.
With his learnings of living with Zain, Satya has paved the way with improving accessibility for users with the help of technology built at Microsoft.
