A new icon has been discovered within the iOS, it has a detailed view of the 2018 iPad Pro, which is expected to be announced at the Tuesday event in Brooklyn. This icon that was spotted by 9to5Mac confirms a redesigned look of the upcoming iPad Pro, wherein it has rounded corners, no Home button, and no notch.
We had a clue before though, as we have seen a similar icon back on the fifth beta of iOS 12. As what it has appeared, the icon also showed an iPad with no Home button, rounded corners, and no notch. But it didn’t showed us the detail about the device as it was only a small icon designed to be used in the battery widget. But because of this newly discovered icon, a detailed look at the 2018 iPad Pro redesign has brought us an idea.
As we can see from the icon, its bezels seems to be larger when compared to the recent iPhones. This might be due to how the icon is constructed, as thicker lines are sometimes required for it to become “readable” and clear when displayed at smaller sizes. We can be sure of this reason as there is also a similar effect happened before with the iPhone X glyph found last year.
Thanks to the detailed icon, we can see that the sleep/wake button remained at the top and the side button was replaced with a sleep/wake button. This new design might be implemented for the iPads, but it is possible that the 2018 iPad Pro will still feature a side button as this design is yet to be finalized.
The upcoming 2018 iPad Pro is expected to come with 10.5- and 12.9-inch variation in sizes, powered with faster “A12X” processors, TrueDepth cameras for Face ID and animoji, and USB-C in place of Lightning. Stay tuned with TechoCodex and we will bring you all of its latest updates.
