India GM Praggnanandhaa reigns at Reykjavik Open

Young Indian Grandmaster (GM) Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa added to his growing stature as World’s top upcoming chess star by winning the Reykjavik Open chess tournament with a victory against compatriot D Gukesh in the final round. 

Pragganandhaa, Pragg as he is fondly called, finished the 7.5 points from nine rounds, finishing half-point ahead of four players — Max Warmerdam, Mads Andersen, Hjorvar Steinn Gretarsson and Abhimanyu Mishra, all of whom finished with 7.0 points.
