The MPV has been spy-tested multiple times on Indian roads and ahead of its launch. The teased image shows only the front end of the MPV.
The Hycross gets a large and upright hexagonal front grille which looks aggressive and it gets wide headlamps with two L-shaped inserts housing the main light units and the bumper gets triangular housings for the fog lamps. The car also features a more muscular bonnet and a raked front windshield.
The spied vehicle features an upright design with strong character lines and a shape that is on the boxier side.
While the Innova Crysta sits on a ladder-frame platform with a rear-wheel drive configuration, the Innova Hycross is expected to be based on a front-wheel drive monocoque chassis, which will help improve its road manners. Apart from the updated design, Toyota could also offer the hybrid MPV with some new features.
The new Innova is expected to be offered only with a 2.0-litre NA petrol engine with hybrid technology. Dimensionally, we expect the new Toyota Innova Hycross to measure 4.7 metres in length and will get a wheelbase of 2,850 mm.
