Elon Musk has not seen the smoothest ride since he took over as the CEO of Twitter. People assumed this would be the case since he tried to withdraw his acquisition offer.

He recently posted a poll on Twitter asking if he should step down from the CEO position. To no one’s surprise, 57.5% of the voters opted for the ‘Yes’ option. He replied to the tweet stating that he will abide by the results of the poll as soon he finds “someone foolish enough to take the job”. After he steps down from the position, he will only work on software and server teams.

According to the latest news around Twitter, George Hotz known for his exploits on Apple iPhone and PlayStation 3, resigned from his Twitter internship. Hotz shared this information on his Twitter account stating that he has resigned from the company. He appreciates the opportunity but felt that he wasn’t making any impact with his work.

George Hotz was hired as an intern to work on a login popup issue and improve the search tool on Twitter in under 3 months. Hotz resigned after completing less than a month of the internship. It looks like he was having second thoughts as he too had posted a poll on Twitter asking if he should step down from his position as the intern. What is surprising is that 63.6% users voted ‘No’, but he still resigned.

He cited the reason for quitting as he said he would try fixing search or refractor codebase, but once he started reading the code, he thought “this ain’t it”. He also said amidst a “questionable commitment to free speech, existing office politics and a push for features”, there was nothing substantial he could do there.
