Is Donald Trump returning to Twitter? Here’s what Elon Musk has to say

0

The big question everyone has been asking ever since Elon Musk announced that he plans to buy Twitter is if the former American President Donald Trump is coming back to the platform. Now that he owns the microblogging platform, the question has popped up again.
While we have not heard anything about Musk reinstating Trump’s Twitter account, the Chief Twit took it to his Twitter account, reacting to the big question, saying, “If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me if Trump is coming back on this platform, Twitter would be minting money!”
Twitter decided to permanently suspend Trump’s handle last year following the attack on the Capitol. Soon after completing his acquisition, Musk fired the top executives, including the legal policy head, Vijay Gadde, who is said to have played a crucial role in the suspension of Donald Trump’s Twitter account.
Commenting on the completion of Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, Donald Trump said that he’s glad Twitter is in Musk’s “sane hands” in a post on his own social media network, Parler.
The Wall Street Journal reports that a number of top brands were prepared to end relations with Twitter, if the new owner of the microblogging platform decided to reinstate Donald Trump’s account.
While we do not know if Musk will reinstate Trump and other suspended accounts or not, he does have some big changes coming for Twitter, including a paid verification badge, longer tweets, and the revival of Vine.
