Strictly’s Janette Manrara, 38, has marked the end of Strictly Come Dancing Live with a heartfelt tribute to the cast and a huge thank you to the legions of fans who came out to watch. The professional dancer shared the emotional message with her 502,000 Instagram followers.

She said alongside a photograph of a packed O2 Arena: “What a ride. Still pinching myself that Strictly Come Dancing Live has happened!

“Thank you to every single one of you that came out to support dancing.

“I looked out into the audience every single day and savoured the fact that arenas were selling to support a dance show.

“Some of the biggest names in showbiz played our venues in the past, and here we are, dancers and fans of dance in the same places.

“It’s truly magical and makes my heart sing.

“Keep supporting live entertainment, keep supporting the arts, and as always…’keeeeeeeeep dancing’!” (sic)

Janette also posted a clip of the Strictly cast dancing and cheering to La Vida Es Un Carnaval, the song former winners Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse performed their iconic Samba to.

The stars, including Luba Mushtuk, Katya Jones and Nancy Xu jumped and clapped as Giovanni Pernice and Nikita Kuzmin danced topless on stage.

And Carys added: “I’m so proud of you all but especially you Janette! You were absolutely amazing at hosting! I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience at the Live Tour!”

Other Strictly stars, including winners Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni also shared sweet messages.

Rose told her 548,000 followers that the BBC dance show was “the best decision” she has ever made.

She wrote: “Six months ago, I didn’t have a clue what I signed up for and to be honest I was terrified.

“Now, I know for sure that it was the best decision I have ever made, what a crazy ride and life changing experience it has been.

“@giovannipernice , I am so grateful that you were part of my Strictly journey.”

Giovanni also penned in view of his 800,000 followers: “The end of our @bbcstrictly journey but the beginning of an eternal friendship!

“I love you @rose.a.e. THANK YOU for the best six months of my life!”
