Justice, humanity basis of BJP’s politics, says Rajnath Singh

Defence minister Rajnath Singh has said that “justice and humanity”, and not “polarisation”, will be the basis of the BJP’s politics, unlike other parties that are “dividing people” for votes. Singh was campaigning in Uttar Pradesh’s Kasganj and Farrukhabad for the next month’s assembly elections in the state.

“To get the support of a particular religion, they cross all limits,” he said, adding: “But we do not accept politics of polarisation. We will not do politics of religion or caste. We will do politics of justice and humanity.”

Singh also reiterated the BJP government’s dedication to the poor. He said for the first time in the history of independent India, the PM said no to a VIP section created at the Red Fort during the Republic Day programme. “Our PM said no to the VIP culture and instead called for an EPI – ‘every person is important’ culture, where the poor were given special passes to attend the Republic Day programme,” Singh said on Sunday.
