On her frequent royal tours abroad, Kate Middleton is always photographed as she disembarks aircraft. And while the Duchess of Cambridge is famed for her bouncy blow-drys, one place this hairdo rarely makes an appearance is on the airport tarmac.
When Kate disembarks the royal plane, she usually does so with her hair tied back or kept under wraps by a hat.
Myka Meier, the founder of Beaumont Etiquette, told The Sun: “Often it’s so windy and breezy that hats are used to keep hair in place.
“Just like the dresses fly up, so does your hair.
“Right when you walk off the aeroplane those are the first photos that go viral, so the hat is often used right when they walk off for that reason.”

After a wardrobe malfunction in Canada in 2011 saw Kate’s skirts billow in a windy airport, she often opts for weightier fabrics when it comes to her travelling outfits.
Kate also reportedly follows the Queen’s top tip to keep fabrics down by having weights sewn into her clothes.
The monarch’s couturier Stewart Parvin previously told MailOnline: “I just pop a couple of weights into the hemline of her dresses and coats and it makes them hang beautifully.
“If there is a flap in the coat then I will sew in one on each side of the split to even it up.
When visiting a different country, Kate will often don the colour of the flag of her host country from top to toe.
During her Platinum Jubilee tour of the Caribbean earlier this year, Kate arrived in Belize wearing a bright blue dress in the colour of the Belizean flag, with matching shoes and a clutch bag.
Upon arrival in Jamaica shortly afterwards she wore a yellow dress, and upon departure a green dress.
And for the last leg in the Bahamas, the Duchess arrived in an aquamarine dress and left in a yellow one.
