It has beaten other non-anime shows as well in India, where anime is still considered a relatively niche market.
Demon Slayer is not the only anime to make it to the Netflix top ten series list. Chainsaw Man also made it to the sixth place of top ten shows on the platform in the country, back in February, when it released on Netflix. It is a testament to how popular anime has become in India, where they have started to outperform non-anime shows on mainstream platforms.
