Krafton: Krafton New State Mobile March 2023 update: New game mode, map improvements and more
Krafton has started rolling out a March update for its battle royale games — New State Mobile. The update is now rolling out to iOS and Android operating systems and it includes features like KA-BOOM mode. In addition, the update also brings improvements to the Lagna map, the new handgun “Sawed-off”, Labs content “Recruit Mode” returns for “Erangel” and Survivor Pass Vol.17 being revealed.
Krafton New State Mobile update: KA-BOOM mode
The new New State Labs content KA-BOOM is a Round Deathmatch (RDM) available on the ARENA map, where players fight using only grenade launchers and throwables. Ammunition other than grenades is not available in this mode. The rest of the rules remain unchanged from the other RDMs, except grenades do not inflict any damage to friendly players.
From the care package in the centre of the map, players can get a “Red Zone Launcher,” which creates explosions stronger than ordinary grenades. In the KA-BOOM Mode, all terrains, except for the starting point and certain areas, can be destroyed by an explosion.
Krafton New State Mobile update: Lagna maps improvement
The Lagna map was introduced with the February update and the latest update brings several new improvements to it. Now, a “Mesta,” a classic sports car for two people, will always be generated on the ridge between “Estacion” and “Carta.” Multi-care packages now have higher chances to present items, while the general item spawn rate is also slightly increased. The Blue Zone settings have also been adjusted to give more time for players to get items in the first Blue Zone phase.
Apart from these, the update brings a new 12-gauge handgun Sawed-off that has an explosive single-shot damage and thus can be a good option to deal with an opponent in close range.
The New State labs content Recruit Mode has returned for Erangel. Recruit times have been lowered for this mode compared to the Battle Royale Mode. Players can grow the squad up to eight players. Once the player successfully recruits a downed opponent, the health and booster level of both players will be fully recovered.
In addition, Krafton has also made some changes to the balance of some guns. The magazine capacity of the extended mag for the submachine gun — Vector — has been increased to 50 from 45.
