IPL founder Lalit Modi broke the internet last night when he announced that he is dating actress and winner of the 1994 Miss Universe pageant, Sushmita Sen. Modi also shared pictures of the duo spending some downtime together at their latest vacation in Maldives and Sardinia along with throwback pictures.
There has been no statement from Sushmita Sen’s end regarding the revelation. However, the post elicited a response from Ranveer Singh who commented on the pictures with a heart and protecting from evil-eye emoji. Netizens also dug up an old tweet of Lalit Modi from 2013, which has now gone viral. Lalit Modi had tweeted, “@thesushmitasen reply my SMS”. Twitter exchanges between the two from 2013 have also surfaced on the internet, suggesting that they were friends since 2013.
While there has been much talk about the new couple, we are eagerly waiting on an announcement from Sushmita Sen’s end. Meanwhile, Lalit Modi has also added in his Instagram bio that he is dating Sushmita Sen.
To note, according to media reports, Lalit Modi has been in London since 2010. He had reportedly left the country amidst investigations into tax evasion and money laundering cases.
