Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, better known as Sidhu Moosewala, passed away on May 29 after he was shot dead by unidentified assailants. Today marks the late singer’s birth anniversary. And on this occassion, we look back at some of his moments with his mother he shared with fans.

On May 15 this year, he shared an endearing picture with his mother and wrote- “HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAA,” followed by some hearts.

In another post, he looked dapper in a suit and wrote this for his mother who posed along with her son- “The best woman I’ve ever known.”

And in 2020, again for his mother’s birthday, the singer penned a note in Punjabi that read- “Kade suraj wangu tapda Kade shaant svere warga han, Maa mainu lagda rehnda, Main jma tere warga han. Love you maa Happy Birthday Maa.”

One of the sharp shooters, Harkamal Ranu, who allegedly killed Moosewala, was arrested by the Punjab Police, officials said on Friday. Ranu’s family, a resident of Bhatinda town, claimed that they had handed him over to the police.

Meanwhile, a Red Corner Notice (RCN) has been issued against Canada-based gangster Satinderjeet Singh alias Goldy Brar wanted in the killing of Moosewala. The Central Bureau of Investigation had on June 2 written a request letter to the Interpol to issue a RCN against Goldy Brar.
