Leak Suggests Marvel Actor Could Be Playing Batman’s Biggest Nemesis in Robert Pattinson’s the Batman

The Batman is just a few days away from release, and it seems like fans might have just received the movie’s biggest surprise involving Irish actor Barry Keoghan.

After portraying the role of Druig in The Eternals, Keoghan joined a handful of actors in the world to play both a DC and Marvel character after he was casted in Matt Reeves’ upcoming movie about the World’s Greatest Detective.

However, while other trailers and posters confirmed the roles of Zoë Kravitz’s Selina Kyle, Colin Farrell’s Penguin, Paul Dano’s Riddler and Robert Pattinson’s Batman, Keoghan’s part in the movie hasn’t even been mentioned once.

The movie’s marketing hasn’t revealed anything about his presence in this world. However, a new leak involving the official credits sheet of the movie might give fans a hint on what character he might be playing.

In the credits sheet which recently surfaced online, Keoghan’s role in the movie is stated as unseen Arkham prisoner, which means that the actor might be playing one of the infamous villains from Batman’s rogues gallery.

However, another section of the credits sheet also stated that this Arkham prisoner character needed prosthetics along with Farrell’s Penguin, and this might suggest that the Irish star will be playing Pattinson’s ultimate nemesis in the Joker.

Live action movies and DC franchises featuring Batman have had their fair share of Joker iterations. From Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger to the recent portrayal from Jared Leto in movies like Zack Snyder’s Justice League, the Caped Crusader has always had his hands full with problems arising from the Clown Prince of Crime, and it seems like Robert’s young take on the character will have his own arch rival as well.

While it seems like Dano’s Riddler will be the primary antagonist in the movie, future movies of the series might push Keoghan to be the main villain. Additionally, Matt Reeves might also showcase the Joker as a looming threat, who’s continuing to add problems for the Batman in the background while the latter faces pressing issues caused by other villains from his rogues gallery such as Mad Hatter or even Mr. Freeze.

In the end, the leaks about Barry Keoghan playing the Joker is just a rumor. However, when the movie drops on May 4, this leak might became true after all.
